Capital Region Economic Profile

Previous to regionalization, Ignite offered economic assistance to Fredericton, New Maryland, and Oromocto. Starting in early 2023, Ignite expanded its assistance to the 13 formed entities in the RSC 11. The purpose of this report is to present an economic analysis of the Capital Region. Fueling Entrepreneurial Spirit through expanded Funding Opportunities

Fredericton, NB, May 17, 2024 – Federal support will help entrepreneurs and small business owners access important seed capital funding to start or expand their local businesses. The Government of Canada, through the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency, has contributed more than $1 million to sustain the delivery of Ignite’s Impact Loan Program (ILP).
