A Day in Village of Tracy: with Ignite's Marketing Team
Last Friday, my colleague Julia and I visited the Village of Tracy, a community where local businesses, natural beauty, and rich history come together to create a memorable experience.
Come along with us as we discover some of Tracy's hidden gems!
Our first stop was Three Tree Creek Events, a beautiful venue that provides a beautiful setting for weddings, celebrations, and corporate events. Victoria and Josh Hunter welcomed us and shared the story behind their business, walking us through the thoughtful details they have created to make every event special.

From the charming Birch Room, where wedding parties can prepare for the big day, to the picturesque ceremony grounds and a spacious reception tent built on the new solid wood platform, every corner of the property is surrounded by nature and designed with care. The scenery is breathtaking, creating the perfect backdrop for stunning photographs without the need for a separate photo location.
Three Tree Creek Events truly is a magical place for life's special moments.
After our visit, we took a scenic drive along the Old Tracy Trail and former railway corridor, passing through the village and discovering some of the landmarks and buildings that contribute to Tracy's unique character and welcoming atmosphere.
Our next stop was Riverside Park, where a brief summer rain gave us the opportunity to take shelter beneath the park's covered bridge. While waiting for the rain to pass, we explored the historical photo displays, admired the bridge's craftsmanship, and enjoyed the peaceful views overlooking the Oromocto River. Although modest in size, the park offers plenty to discover, from its scenic trail to its connection with the village's history.
Before leaving the park, we visited the Jeremiah Tracy statue, created by artist Robin Hanson in 2022. The statue honours the village's first settler and serves as a lasting tribute to Tracy's heritage.
Our final stop was The Tracy Store, a true community landmark with a fascinating history. Originally serving as a school, the building later became a garage before evolving into the community hub it is today. Known by many as the heart of Tracy, the store continues to provide everything residents and visitors need while keeping the warm, friendly service that makes small communities so special.
Inside the store, we found Momma B's Takeout & Pizzeria, where we ordered delicious chicken nachos and pepperoni pizza and enjoyed them in their picnic area, the perfect way to end a wonderful day of exploring. The food is always a highlight here, from brisket and pizza to an impressive variety of ice cream flavours waiting to be discovered!
Whether you're planning a special event, looking for a peaceful place to enjoy nature, learning local history and art, or simply searching for a great place to grab a bite, Tracy offers a little something for everyone. We invite you to take the scenic drive, discover its local businesses, and experience the warm hospitality that makes this charming village such a special part of the Capital Region.
