A Day in Arcadia with the Ignite Marketing Team
The Ignite marketing team got into the holiday spirit for our final entity visit of the year. We started off at Nove’s Place in Cambridge-Narrows where a festive looking Nova Leah was just turning on her Christmas lights.

My colleagues Ashleigh and Andrea met up with Rose Arsenault from Fredericton Capital Region Tourism and Mayor Clinton Sharpe to enjoy a festive coffee blend. We also took the time to browse the collection of artisanal jewelry from Union Hill Studio as well as a few other items from local vendors.
Now fully caffeinated, Ashleigh and I followed Mayor Sharpe to the Jemseg Fire Hall – one of five volunteer-based fire halls in Arcadia. Mayor Sharpe gave us a full tour of the Fire Hall including an opportunity to sit in the fire truck (no, my feet did not reach the pedals).
We left with a new appreciation for first responders and anyone who volunteers their time to help keep their communities safe.
Our next stop was Gagetown’s Christmas in the Village where the charming village was transformed into a Hallmark-worthy Christmas wonderland. We had the opportunity to meet up with Carolyn White, one of this year’s organizers of the event.
Front street came alive with festive decorations, food vendors, and a horse and carriage ride courtesy of Mountain View Stables. Staple storefronts like Greig Pottery, Memories & Elephants, and Gagetown Leather were bustling with activity. Even the post office hosted a few local vendors. The event had over 50 vendors in total set up in store fronts, community centres, and homes around the village.

We’d worked up an appetite after all that walking in the crisp winter air, so we headed over to the Gagetown Grill for some hot apple cider and delicious diner foods.
With full bellies, we made one final stop to the Gagetown Recreation Centre to see even more local vendors.

Our final visit for the year was filled with new experiences, great community, and holiday cheer. If you’re looking for festive winter activities, the communities of Arcadia are where you should be. And if anyone knows a Hallmark location scout – be sure to point them in that direction.
