Celebrating Success in Connection: Honouring Our 2025 Star Connectors
Through every introduction and connection made, the Ignite Connector Program continues to open doors, strengthen networks, and shape professional journeys across our region. Our team celebrated the continuous impact of our Connector community at the third annual Connector Appreciation Ceremony.
This ceremony also provided an opportunity to honour the leaders who have shaped the careers of countless professionals, our 2025 Star Connectors. From demonstrating exceptional commitment to their networks to guiding skilled professionals to success, each recipient went above and beyond by putting their own unique spin on the connections they made.
Kristen Vautour, a seasoned senior recruiter, brings more than 10 years of experience spanning recruitment agencies and high-growth tech startups. Her expertise and motivation for creating lasting connections have supported emerging talent in the program. Whether she is offering industry advice or meeting professionals ready to showcase their skills, Vautour is thrilled to play a role in helping talent find the right opportunities.
We also recognized Juan Pablo Castro, an all-around marketing, sales, and administration professional whose journey reflects the full circle experience of the Connector Program. Once a newcomer himself, he now gives back by leading professionals to success, just as his own Connectors did for him at the beginning. Passionate about workforce development and leadership, Castro aims to help his connections by encouraging welcoming and safe workplaces for them to grow.
Next in line, entrepreneur and marketer, Andrea Cardenas, brings her own enthusiastic spirit and expertise to every connection she makes. With seven years of experience working for startups and small businesses across Canada, her multifaceted understanding of the entrepreneurial landscape provides a fresh take to connectees for a thriving career. As founder of Limitless Marketing Agency, Cardenas continues to show a passion for sharing knowledge and providing guidance to new connections through our program.
Bringing the same enthusiasm, HR professional Daniel Cyril is passionate about helping people grow in their careers and fostering inclusive and supportive workplaces. His time as a Connector reflects the strong sense of community that has shaped his own path, an inspiring journey of shared growth through meaningful connections.
Closing this year’s group is M’hamed Ratmi, bringing a perspective grounded in decades of experience and mentorship. A retired clinical engineer, his career includes leadership roles with the World Health Organization, Clinical Engineering in New Brunswick, and the New Brunswick Multicultural Council. Ratmi values the opportunity to exchange expertise with connectees and hopes the professionals he has connected with continue to pass on their newly acquired knowledge to others throughout their own journey.
Understanding the motivations behind our Connectors and the impact they create across our communities was nothing short of inspiring. Whether it was Vautour’s guidance, Castro’s leadership, Cardenas’ entrepreneurial mindset, Cyril’s community-first perspective, or Ratmi’s mentorship style, every unique approach has led professionals in our region to expand their networks and reach success.
The celebration culminated with icebreaker activities and networking opportunities, showcasing the true heart of our program. More than just creating connections, it’s about building futures and fostering a sense of belonging for the talent who are making our communities thrive.
